Small group countryside dog walking in Colchester

Dave's Dogs provides structured small group dog walking in Colchester, with home pick up and drop off across Wormingford, Fordham, West Bergholt, Aldham, Eight Ash Green, Marks Tey, Stanway and Copford.

Dogs are transported away from busy housing estates and walked in carefully chosen countryside locations where they can move, sniff and explore within a calm, well-matched group. Group sizes are intentionally limited to protect structure, safety and balanced interactions, and each dog is monitored throughout.

Each countryside walk lasts approximately one hour, not including collection and drop off time.

Pricing

60 minute countryside walk, structured small group, pickup and drop off included.

  • £15 per dog.

  • £12.50 per additional dog from same household.

Spaces are limited because numbers are intentionally kept low and regular weekly bookings are prioritised.

What makes these walks different?

These are structured group walks designed around calm social dynamics and genuine enrichment, not chaotic group exercise.

  • Small, carefully matched groups

  • Rural routes selected for space and safety

  • Secure vehicle transport fitted with individual crates and memory foam bedding.

  • One hour countryside walks

  • Shower or towel dry if needed before returning home

  • Consistent weekly routine

Dogs are walked off lead where appropriate and safe, with guardian consent and reliable recall. Where recall is not consistent, long lines are used to maintain safety while still allowing freedom to explore.

How to book

  1. Get in touch to arrange a meet and greet.

  2. We discuss your dog’s temperament, routine and recall.

  3. If suitable and space is available, your dog is matched into a compatible small group.

  4. A regular weekly slot is confirmed.

Weekly consistency allows groups to remain stable and balanced.

Who these walks are suitable for

These small group countryside walks are ideal for dogs who:

  • Are comfortable in rural environments

  • Have reliable recall or are happy working on a long line

If a dog is not currently suited to group walks, this will be discussed at the meet and greet.
